House Oversight Committee subpoena's Pam Bondi over her handling of the Epstein files
by Jason Weisberger · Boing BoingEnough Republicans are sick of Trump's personal Attorney General Pam Bondi, and the face plant after face plant the Department of Justice makes regarding their highly questionable release of the Epstein files, that they joined Democrats in issuing a subpoena demanding she appear before them and explain.
Bondi's last appearance was so contentious and screamy, with the AG relying on a "burn book" to turn responses to questions into hurled insults. Mostly, Bondi revealed that the DOJ was illegally surveilling congresspeople, and told us nothing about her machinations to protect pedophiles.
The House Oversight Committee voted on a bipartisan basis Wednesday to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Why it matters: It's the latest step in the committee's monthslong probe into Epstein, and comes as lawmakers have grown increasingly frustrated with Bondi's handling of the release of the Epstein files.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) offered the subpoena.
Every Democrat — plus GOP Reps. Tim Burchett (Tenn.), Michael Cloud (Texas), Lauren Boebert (Colo.) and Scott Perry (Pa.) — voted in favor of subpoenaing Bondi in a 24-19 vote.Axios
Can't wait for another session of "Bondi screams back."
