PM Modi spoke with acting Venezuelan President

New Delhi, Jan 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with the acting President of Venezuela, Ms. Delcy Rodríguez, and both leaders agreed to “further deepen and expand bilateral partnership in all areas, with a shared vision of taking India-Venezuela relations to new heights in the years ahead.”

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote: “Spoke with Acting President of Venezuela, Ms. Delcy Rodríguez. We agreed to further deepen and expand our bilateral partnership in all areas, with a shared vision of taking India-Venezuela relations to new heights in the years ahead.”

Venezuela has been in the news after the United States recently took action against Venezuelan former President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, filing charges related to narco-trafficking and other offences, and detaining them from their country.
