Over dozen residential houses gutted in massive blaze in old Town Anantnag

Anantnag, Mar 28: Over a dozen residential houses were gutted in a massive blaze in the Kadipora locality of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.

Fire erupted at around 03.15 pm from one of the houses in a congested bylane of Gajinag, Kadipora locality in the old town.

“Soon, the fire spread to other residential houses and engulfed the entire Mohalla.

The fire tenders who rushed to the spot are having a tough time dousing the flames as winds kept on blowing. Youth are volunteering the fire fighting operation helping to combat the blaze.

The fire is yet to be brought under control.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
