According to Army officials, the operation was launched following credible intelligence inputs regarding suspicious movement in the forested region. A tight cordon was established in the area early Monday morning.
“While conducting searches, security forces came under heavy fire, prompting a swift and coordinated response,” an official said. “A fierce gunfight ensued, during which three terrorists were killed.”
