Army jawan headed to Kashmir assaulted at UP toll booth, 4 arrested after video goes viral

He was home for a holiday and was heading to Delhi airport to fly to his post in Srinagar. Four toll booth employees have been arrested after a disturbing video of the incident went viral on social media.
According to NDTV, the soldier, Kapil Kavad, who serves in the Rajput Regiment, was on leave and en route to Delhi airport to return to his posting in Srinagar. Kapil and his cousin were stuck in heavy traffic at the Bhuni toll plaza. Concerned
Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Superintendent of Police (Rural), said a case has been registered. “Kapil is in the Indian Army. He was returning to his post. There was a long queue at the Bhuni toll booth. He was in a hurry and he spoke to the toll booth staff. An argument began and the toll booth staff assaulted him. Following a complaint from his family, a case was registered at Sarurpur police station.”
“Four accused have been arrested after scanning CCTV footage and videos. Two more teams are working to arrest the other accused,” the senior officer had said.
A confrontation ensued, escalating into a physical assault. In the widely shared video, several toll workers can be seen beating Kapil with sticks. At one point, the soldier is pinned against a pole with his hands pulled back, while one of the attackers continues to hurl abuses and physically assault him.
