Infiltration bid foiled along LoC in Kupwara, two terrorists killed: Army

Kupwara, Nov 08: Two terrorists have been killed as security forces along the Line of Control (LoC) foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists from across the border in the Keran Sector of Kashmir’s Kupwara district, army officials said on Saturday.

In a post on X, Chinar Corps – Indian Army wrote, “Two terrorists have been neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing operation.” Adding that “Search of the area in progress”

The officials said that a joint operation was launched after receiving “specific intelligence input from agencies” regarding a planned infiltration attempt by terrorists.

They added that alert troops spotted suspicious movement and established contact with the infiltrators after they opened fire indiscriminately. “Op continues,” the officials said.

Earlier, Chinar Corps – Indian Army wrote on X that, ” On 07 Nov 2025, based on specific intelligence input from agencies, regarding infiltration attempt, a joint operation was launched in Keran sector of Kupwara. Alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged which resulted in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire. Contact established and terrorists trapped. Op continues.”
