Vice-President Radhakrishnan attends swearing-in of Seychelles President
by GK NEWS SERVICE · Greater KashmirNew Delhi, Oct 27: Vice President C P Radhakrishnan on Monday attended the swearing-in of President Patrick Herminie and later called on Patrick Herminie, President of the Republic of Seychelles, at the State House.
The Vice President conveyed greetings on Herminie’s assumption of office on behalf of the Government and people of India and discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation.
Both leaders reaffirmed their shared vision for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indian Ocean Region and the Global South.
Vice President Radhakrishnan also met Sebastien Pillay, Vice President-Elect of the Republic of Seychelles, at the State House.
Both leaders discussed the multi-faceted India-Seychelles relationship, rooted in shared heritage, culture, and people-to-people ties.
The Vice President also conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure.
Meanwhile, Vice President Radhakrishnan will undertake his first official visit to Tamil Nadu from October 28 to 30, covering Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram districts, arriving in Coimbatore on October 28.
