Srinagar, July 28: The Indian Army on Monday said that three unidentified terrorists were killed in an ongoing encounter in the upper reaches of the Harwan-Mulnar area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Army confirmed, “Three terrorists have been neutralised so far in the Harwan-Mulnar area. The operation is in progress.”

According to Army officials, the operation was launched following credible intelligence inputs regarding suspicious movement in the forested region. A tight cordon was established in the area early Monday morning.

“While conducting searches, security forces came under heavy fire, prompting a swift and coordinated response,” an official said. “A fierce gunfight ensued, during which three terrorists were killed.”
