New Delhi, Feb 6″ Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday interacted with students during the 9th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha at his residence in New Delhi, advising them to follow their own learning rhythm and reduce exam-related stress. Addressing questions on study patterns, PM Modi said, “Everyone has their own way. Enjoyment comes when you follow your own pattern,” urging students to listen to advice but improve only through personal experience. On teaching methods, he remarked, “Teachers should stay just one step ahead of students. If they go too far ahead, students give up,” adding that educators must “plough the mind, then connect the mind, and then place the subject.” On marks versus skills, the Prime Minister stressed balance, saying, “Education and skill are twin siblings. One cannot survive without the other,” and cautioned against obsession with marks, asking students to focus instead on overall development in life. Emphasising stress-free learning, Modi said exams are meant to examine oneself, not define one’s future. “Marks are not everything. What matters is where your life is heading,” he told students, encouraging them to stay confident, dream big, and back their aspirations with consistent action.
