All the Met Office weather alerts for Bristol as Storm Eowyn batters UK
by Molly Seaman · BristolLiveThe Met Office has announced four weather warnings for Bristol across four days as Storm Eowyn batters the country. A yellow weather warning for ice is the latest warning to be issued, and is in place from 3am until 10am tomorrow, Saturday, January 25.
A warning for wind in place today (January 24) as strong gusts are expected to cause disruption. The warning came into effect at 12am today, with wind speeds of up to 80mph predicted.
Another two warnings are in place on Sunday (January 26) for wind and rain across the region. The wind warning is in place from 8am until 3pm, but the rain warning stretches from 8am on Sunday until 6am on Monday (January 27). Forecasters have predicted that some areas may flood early next week.
This weekend, forecasters have warned that there will likely be icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths. There may be a risk of injury from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
Rain showers are due to move across the region this evening and early tomorrow morning. The skies will clear and ice is likely to form on untreated surfaces. Travel conditions are thought to be hazardous and extra time should be given for journeys.
Winds are expect to reach up to 70 and 80mph this weekend and coastal areas will possibly see damage to sea fronts from large spray and waves. Follow our live blog here for the latest updates.

Tonight: Showers are possible this evening these heavy at times. Becoming mainly dry overnight with clear spells and some frost in the countryside. Minimum temperature 0 °C.
Saturday: A mainly dry day with lengthy sunny periods, but showers are possible around western coasts with a band of heavier showers arriving later. Freshening winds during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Another wet and windy spell on Sunday with gales in places and some heavy rain possible. Remaining changeable and windy on Monday and Tuesday with showers. Temperatures close to average.
