You'll soon be able to start unlocking the Halo Infinite achievements from a new perspective. Halo Studios has revealed that Xbox exclusive Halo Infinite is getting a third-person mode in November.

Halo Infinite third-person multiplayer mode arrives next month

The news was announced during the 2024 Halo World Championship, where senior community manager John Junyszek confirmed that Halo Infinite will be adding a new third-person Firefight mode in an update next month and that the perspective will be "supported at a mode level." This means players will not be able to manually switch between first-person and third-person views on the fly in a match. Third-person mode is also coming to Forge, where Forge creators will be able to switch players between different perspectives when needed.

"I'm just excited for it," said Junyzsek. "It's a fun way to play. You have more awareness; you get to see your Spartan — it's super cool. Internally, people have been loving it, and I'm excited for everyone to get their hands on it."

Also during the 2024 Halo World Championship, 343 Industries, now named Halo Studios, announced that multiple Halo games are in development using Unreal Engine 5.
