Neowiz has dropped a new Lies of P Overture story trailer during the ID@Xbox showcase, giving us a closer look at the upcoming prequel DLC. The expansion was announced earlier this month with a September release date, and while we're yet to learn if we'll get any new Lies of P achievements, the latest trailer has us excited for more adventures in the Xbox action-RPG.

Lies of P: Overture gets fresh story trailer

  • Neowiz has dropped a story trailer for Lies of P: Overture
  • Release date: September 4, 2025
  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC

"Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action Souls-like game set in the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat," the trailer's description reads. "Once a beautiful city, Krat has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. Play as P, a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally become human."

Overture was announced during PlayStation's State of Play earlier this month and will act as a "dramatic prequel" to the events we've already seen in the popular Soulslike, taking us back to Krat during its collapse. We'll be carving our way through Krat once more when Lies of P: Overture launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on September 4.
