New Skoda Slavia Facelift Launch

Skoda Auto India has just unveiled their Slavia facelift which was just revised for the 2026 model year. This facelift brings with it revised aesthetics, an upgrade to its equipment list along with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox to make it more appealing to India’s sedan lovers. Pre-bookings for the new Slavia facelift opened today and prices will be announced soon.

There are 10 colour options in total and among these, two are all new – Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. There are five standard trim levels followed by the range-topping Monte Carlo. The colour options vary depending on the trims and dual tone colours are part of the package too. Cappuccino colour will be shipped December 2026 onwards.

New Skoda Slavia Facelift

With the facelift, Skoda Slavia has received a design revision which can be termed as an evolution, rather than a revolution. From the sides, most of the silhouette has been carried forward along with all its interesting sharp creases. There is a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels, finished in dual-tone effect in standard Slavia and Black in Monte Carlo.

At the front, the fascia has been revised with a new and grille, sleeker fog lights, redesigned bumpers, and all new LED headlights with new LED DRL signature. The beads you see in the grille are not illuminated, like in the Kushaq. At the rear, we get new LED tail lights along with sequential turn indicators and revised bumpers.

New Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo Facelift Launch

Only Monte Carlo gets the Red painted brake callipers and Monte Carlo badging on fenders along with Red stripes on front grille, a subtle diffuser and a subtle lip spoiler at the rear. We wished Skoda gave 17-inch alloy wheels at least with the Monte Carlo version. Only the Monte Carlo version gets the Black interior along with Red contrasts.

Features & Equipment

Slavia Facelift continues with the same dashboard layout as before, but now gets revised equipment to keep the sedan competitive against rivals. Steering wheel is the same as before, but there is a new 10.25-inch digital TFT cluster behind it, which we saw in Kushaq facelift. It supports turn-by-turn navigation but not full-screen Maps. The upgraded 10.1-inch infotainment screen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Standard Slavia gets Beige and Black interior theme that looks more airy and roomy than Black. Slavia now gets 360-degree cameras with decent resolution and usability. For rear passengers, Skoda has added massaging seats, which we experienced in Kushaq as well. Space and comfort is the same as before as Slavia is not changed mechanically.

However, buyers expecting rear ventilated seats or rear sun blinds or dedicated climate zone for rear occupants, would be disappointed. Even ADAS has been given a miss, which might put off some buyers. 6 airbags, single-pane sunroof, cooled glovebox, cruise control, ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, auto-dimming IRVM, front and rear armrest, Type-C ports, single-zone auto climate control, wireless charger and other attributes are carried forward.

New 8-Speed Gearbox

Currently, Skoda Slavia is India’s second best-selling sedan, behind its alliance cousin VW Virtus. Slavia sales could see a boost with the facelift because of the new 8-speed automatic gearbox offered with the smaller 1.0L TSI engine, first offered with Kushaq facelift. Actual engine specs are carried over as it generates up to 115 bhp and 178 Nm, mated to either a 6-speed gearbox or the new 8-speed automatic.

The 1.0L TSI engine is offered across the trim lineup, even with the Monte Carlo, but the larger 1.5L TSI engine is only offered with top-spec Prestige and Monte Carlo trims. However, the 6-speed manual gearbox option with this engine is not part of the package anymore. Performance is still the same as it generates 148 bhp and 250 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DSG.
