Yamaha Sales Breakup Dec 2025 – XSR155 Becomes Top Seller

India Yamaha Motor posted a strong domestic performance in December 2025, driven by the addition of new models and healthy demand across its core motorcycle and scooter portfolio. Yamaha sold a total of 54,914 units in the domestic market during the month, registering a 49.3% year-on-year growth compared to 36,780 units sold in December 2024. However, on a month-on-month basis, sales declined 5.9% from 58,384 units in November 2025.

The biggest contributor to Yamaha’s December performance was the XSR range, which clocked 14,951 units. The new retro-styled motorcycle which was just launched in Nov 2025, has emerged as Yamaha’s single largest-selling product for the month, underlining strong market acceptance.

Among scooters, RayZR 125 continued to be a strong volume driver with 14,153 units, growing 17.9% YoY, although it saw a sharp 32.8% MoM decline. The Fascino 125 posted 4,630 units, down 15.4% YoY and 12.7% MoM, reflecting softer demand in the premium scooter segment. The Aerox 155 recorded 1,031 units, declining both YoY and MoM.

In the motorcycle portfolio, the FZ series delivered a solid performance with 10,291 units, up 20.3% YoY and showing a strong 58.9% MoM growth, indicating improved demand towards the end of the year. The popular R15 also continued its upward trend with 5,453 units, growing 27.7% YoY and 28.1% MoM. On the other hand, the MT-15 saw a 15.7% YoY decline to 4,403 units, though it improved 15.4% MoM. Yamaha’s premium offerings like R3 and MT-03 remained niche, with negligible volumes.

Despite a slight month-on-month dip, Yamaha’s strong year-on-year growth highlights the impact of new launches and steady demand for its core models. With the XSR range adding significant volumes and the FZ and R15 continuing to perform well, Yamaha closed December 2025 on a positive note, setting the stage for sustained momentum going into the new year.
