Latest teaser provides a closer look at the updated tail lamps, rear quarter glass, alloy wheels and other design details of the new Slavia

Skoda is preparing to launch the updated Slavia in India on August 18. Ahead of its debut, the company has released another teaser highlighting several exterior details of the facelifted sedan. While the overall silhouette will remain familiar, the latest visuals indicate that Skoda has made a number of changes to freshen up the Slavia.

This will be the first major mid-life update for Slavia since its India launch. Apart from exterior changes, the facelift is expected to receive additional features and potentially an updated automatic transmission for the 1.0-litre TSI engine.

New Skoda Slavia Facelift – Latest Teaser

One of the clearest elements revealed in the latest teaser is the redesigned LED tail lamp. While it retains the familiar angular theme, the internal LED signature has been revised. The illuminated section gets a prominent geometric pattern that gives the rear a sharper appearance.

Another teaser focuses on the rear quarter section. The basic window shape appears unchanged, although Skoda seems to have added a more prominent chrome surround running along the window line. The teaser also gives a glimpse of the roof and shark-fin antenna.

Skoda has also teased the updated alloy wheels. The new wheels appear to feature a dual-tone multi-spoke design, providing another visual differentiator over the outgoing Slavia. A close-up of the Skoda badge confirms that the familiar winged-arrow emblem continues on the facelift. Another teaser provides a brief look at the lower front grille finished in piano black, although much of the design remains deliberately concealed.

Front Fascia To Get Noticeable Changes

Previous spy shots have already indicated that the front fascia will receive some of the more noticeable updates. Slavia facelift is expected to get redesigned headlamps, revised fog lamp housings and updated bumpers. Changes are also expected for the front grille, including new lighting elements inspired by the recently updated Kushaq.

Together, these changes should help differentiate the facelift without significantly altering the sedan’s established proportions. The latest teaser images appear to show the car in a light silver or grey exterior shade. More colour options and variant-specific styling details are expected to be revealed at launch.

New Features Expected

Changes inside the cabin are expected to be relatively evolutionary. The basic dashboard architecture is likely to continue, although Skoda could introduce new upholstery and trim materials along with additional equipment. One of the expected upgrades is a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift – Side

It remains to be seen whether some of the features introduced with Kushaq facelift, including rear-seat massage functionality, will also be offered with Slavia. Feature additions will be important as Slavia competes against Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City in India’s midsize sedan segment.

Engines Likely To Remain Unchanged

Mechanically, major changes are not expected. Slavia facelift should continue with the existing 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines. The key powertrain update could be the introduction of a new automatic gearbox for the 1.0 TSI version. More details regarding the transmission lineup, variants and equipment will become clear at launch.

With just two days remaining until its India debut, Skoda is gradually revealing more of the updated sedan. New Slavia facelift will launch on August 18, when prices, variants and the complete feature list will be announced.
