Maruti Sales Breakup June 2026 – Dzire, WagonR, Ertiga, Swift, Fronx, Baleno, Alto, EECO, Victoris, Brezza
by Pearl Daniels · RushLaneMaruti Suzuki registered total domestic passenger vehicle retail sales of 1,47,187 units in June 2026, reflecting a 23.78% year-on-year (YoY) increase over 1,18,906 units sold in June 2025. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, however, sales declined by 22.67% compared to 1,90,337 units retailed in May 2026.
The sequential decline is because Maruti Suzuki had advanced its scheduled bi-annual production shutdown from June 6 to June 11, instead of the earlier planned June 27 to July 2 period. The one-week maintenance closure and inventory realignment exercise impacted wholesale dispatches and consequently retail availability during the month.
Maruti Sales Breakup June 2026
Dzire continued to be Maruti Suzuki’s highest-selling model in June 2026 with 17,899 units, although volumes were down 27.08% MoM from 24,546 units in May. On a yearly basis, however, Dzire posted a healthy 15.60% growth over June 2025. WagonR retained second place with 16,952 units, growing 31.11% YoY, while Ertiga secured the third spot with 16,111 units, registering 13.85% annual growth.
Swift followed closely with 15,215 units, up 14.61% YoY, while Fronx rounded off the top five with 13,135 units, recording one of the stronger performances in the lineup with 33.83% YoY growth despite a steep MoM decline due to the production shutdown. Baleno registered 12,488 units, improving 39.28% YoY from 8,966 units sold a year ago.
Among the standout performers was Alto, whose sales more than doubled to 10,388 units, representing a 105.91% YoY increase. Alto was also one of only two mainstream Maruti models to register positive sequential growth, improving 5.07% over May 2026. Eeco contributed 10,230 units, up 9.53% YoY, while Victoris added 10,035 units. Since Victoris was not on sale during June last year, it does not have a comparable YoY base.
Brezza recorded 9,939 units, making it one of the few major Maruti models to post a yearly decline, with sales falling 31.49% compared to June 2025. This is because Maruti is getting ready to launch the updated Brezza later this month. Grand Vitara retailed 9,092 units, improving 33.16% YoY, while XL6 registered 2,711 units, up 34.81%. Among Maruti’s entry-level offerings, Celerio recorded 1,261 units, down 38.13% YoY, while S-Presso declined 24.91% to 1,028 units.
Jimny remained a niche product with 354 units, marginally lower than last year’s 371 units. Invicto retailed 349 units, registering a 32.20% YoY increase. Meanwhile, Ignis and Ciaz have effectively exited the lineup, recording zero sales during June 2026 after discontinuation.
MoM Decline Reflects Planned Production Shutdown
Almost every Maruti model witnessed lower sales compared to May 2026, largely reflecting the planned maintenance shutdown rather than a sudden drop in demand. Among the larger volume models, Fronx posted the biggest sequential decline at 36.50%, followed by Baleno (-32.12%), Dzire (-27.08%), Brezza (-25.97%), Eeco (-22.73%) and Ertiga (-20.83%).
The sharpest MoM declines came from lower-volume models including S-Presso (-83.91%) and Celerio (-58.22%). Only Alto (+5.07%) and Invicto (+15.95%) managed to improve sequentially over May, while Victoris and Grand Vitara saw relatively smaller declines compared to several other models.
