India warns Pakistan after Ceasefire violation

by · Gulte.com

Just hours after India and Pakistan agreed to ease tensions, Pakistan reportedly violated the agreement and resumed military action, according to Indian officials.

In response, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held an urgent press conference to address the situation. He stated that earlier in the evening, the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) from both countries had agreed to stop the cross-border military activities that had been ongoing for the past few days.

However, Misri noted that Pakistan began violating the understanding just a few hours after it was made. He called the intrusion “highly condemnable” and placed full responsibility on Pakistan.

“The Indian Army is responding firmly to this aggression. We urge Pakistan to take this matter seriously and act immediately to prevent further violations,” Misri said.

He also emphasized that the Indian Armed Forces are on high alert and have been instructed to respond strongly to any future cross-border violations, whether along the international border or the Line of Control.

The Indian government had earlier warned that any further terrorist acts would be considered acts of war. It remains to be seen what consequences Pakistan may now face.
