Donald Trump’s Shocking Statement On Epstein Files

by · Gulte.com

US President Donald Trump has suddenly reversed his monthslong campaign against the release of the federal records relating to convicted paedophile Jeffry Epstein and urged his party to vote for making the same files public. Trump urged the Republicans to vote for the release of the files as they have nothing to hide.

Speaking to Truth Social on Sunday, the US president said he wanted the release of all the files. This is a prominent shift in his stance as there is a possibility of dozens of his own party leaders supporting the measure in a floor vote expected to take place this week.

On Truth Social, he wrote: “And it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.'” The US President’s desire to move on and change the conversation comes as he faces a political trouble.

Some documents concerning the disgraced financier have been released by the Democrats, a few of which reference Trump. With his name getting linked to Epstein, a few leaders of the Grand Old Party (GOP) seem to be going against the US president. Trump has been named in the newly released Epstein emails. In one email Trump was even described as “the dog that hasn’t barked”. In another, Epstein wrote: “You see, I know how dirty Donald is.”

Moreover, the Republican Party has lost significant elections earlier this month and many of the citizens in America believe the Republican party should be blamed for the six-week shutdown that ended recently, though it was initiated by the Democrats.

But Trump has always denied any link to Epstein’s sex abuse and trafficking. He had dismissed the Epstein files as a Democratic smear campaign and instructed the Department of Justice to probe into Democrats’ ties with Epstein.

With many of Trump’s loyal supporters signaling willingness to break ranks and likely to vote in favour of a bill that would force the US government to publish all the documents relating to Epstein and the investigation, Trump himself is now asking the Republicans to vote for the release.
