Jane McDonald fans say 'can't wait' as she announces TV return

TV favourite Jane McDonald has offered fans some exciting news this week. The much-loved former Cruising presenter, who stepped away from her Channel 5 series in 2020, has announced that she will be gracing our screens with a new venture in the upcoming year.

On Tuesday evening, on social media platform X, 61 year old Jane wrote: "I'm thrilled to share that I'm teaming up with JetSetTV for their first project! Find out more on my website."

A reveal on her website stated: "This marks the start of a new chapter in my eight-year collaboration with Executive Producer Mark Powell. The upcoming series will be produced by Kieron Collins and Mark Powell through their company JetSetTV and will hit your screens in January 2026.

"This is an amazing project and we can't wait to give you all the behind-the-scenes scoop on the production soon.

"But for now, it's time to pack our bags and get ready for an exciting filming adventure!"

Fans were swift to show their joy for Jane's upcoming travel series as one commented: "Looking forward to seeing this," reports the Express.

Another supporter wished her safe travels, while another said, "Can't wait! ! ! My mum and I LOVE watching Jane McDonald whenever she's on! ! ! We used to sit down religiously every Friday night for cruising without fail."

One enthusiastic fan added: "Brilliant absolutely brilliant. Looking forward to seeing and hearing from you about all of these New travel adventures. Jane McDonald you are Just a breath of fresh air."

The former Loose Women panellist stepped down from her role as the host of Channel 5's Cruising with Jane McDonald in February 2020 to concentrate on her music career and other ventures. The show, which ran for four and a half years, saw Jane helm eight series and cover 38 cruises, earning her the title "Queen of Cruise".

She first graced our screens over two decades ago in 1998, featuring in the BBC One docusoap The Cruise. The series, which spanned 12 episodes, captivated 13 million viewers and made Jane an instant household name.
