Russia resumes attacks on Kyiv one day after visit by Trump envoys

According to CNN, their reporter on the ground heard an explosion at around 3:30 AM local time with Kyiv officials saying ballistic missiles had been fired towards the city and reported damage to residential buildings in two districts.
“Please remain in shelters until the air raid alert is lifted,” officials said on Telegram.
The renewed attack came one day after US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Kyiv as part of Washington’s latest effort to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine.
Witkoff and Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, met Ukrainian officials in Kyiv on Sunday.
Their visit came a day after the pair held intensive talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Russia had paused attacks on Kyiv for three days during the diplomatic visits before strikes resumed on Tuesday morning.
