Karmelo Anthony sentenced to 35 years in prison in Austin Metcalf's murder case

On Tuesday, June 9, the Collin County jury found him guilty of the murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf in Frisco, Texas.

As per court spokesman Steve Stoler, the 19-year-old Anthony will spend 35 years of his life in prison for the heinous crime he committed, as he had also admitted that he stabbed Austin in self-defence, who was a student of Memorial High School.
Following the court’s verdict, Kala Hayes, Anthony’s mother, stated that she is sure that her son is deeply regretting what he did to Metcalf in a talk with jurors, reported by NBC DFW.
"Please have mercy on my son," the devastated mother requested.
"He'll always be my baby. I love him very much,” Hayes urged.
It is pertinent to mention that Anthony was visibly shaking when he made his return to the courtroom with his defense attorney after the judge announced the verdict.
