Barcelona crowned LaLiga champions again after beating Real Madrid 2-0

FC Barcelona secured their second consecutive LaLiga title after beating rivals Real Madrid 2-0 in El Clásico at Spotify Camp Nou.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres moved Barcelona 14 points clear at the top of the table with only three matches remaining.

The victory confirmed the club’s 29th LaLiga title and marked the second time in league history that a Clásico directly decided the championship race.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was on the touchline despite the death of his father being announced shortly before kick-off. Players from both teams wore black armbands and observed a minute of silence before the match.

Barcelona players celebrated on the pitch after the final whistle, with Flick thanking supporters and describing the squad as a “family” in his post-match interview.

Since replacing Xavi Hernández in 2024, Flick has now won five trophies with Barcelona, including two league titles and two Spanish Supercopas.

The defeat also extended Real Madrid’s trophy drought to a second straight season, following a difficult campaign that saw former coach Xabi Alonso leave the club earlier this season.
