Cristiano Ronaldo nets 970th goal as Al Nassr edge closer to Saudi League title

Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved significant milestones in his professional career by scoring his 970th goal, as Al Nassr defeated Al Ahli 2-0 in the Saudi Pro League on Wednesday. The match remained scoreless at half-time before Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 76th minute.

Conversely, Kingsley Coman secured the victory with a goal in the 90th minute. Meanwhile, Al Nassr continues to lead the Saudi Pro League, holding first place with 26 wins, one draw, and three losses for a total of 79 points. This maintains their 8-point lead over Al Hilal.

Cristiano Ronaldo was named Player of the Match and celebrated the victory on social media with the message, “YALLA!! WE ARE AL NASSR.” 

The team has achieved a 20-match winning streak across all competitions, a run that started in January. Al Nassr is scheduled to play Al Qadsiah on May 3 in the 31st round of the league, with the final set for May 16 against Gamba Osaka in Riyadh. 

The finish line is now in sight as Ronaldo leaves from the front, and few would bet against them completing the job.
