by · Inside Sport India

Prince Yadav stole the spotlight in LSG's 9-run win over RCB for his spell of 3/33, including Virat Kohli's wicket.

In match number 50 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) finally returned to winning ways after six consecutive defeats. The Rishabh Pant & Co defeated the defending champions in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a reduced game at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. During LSG’s 9-run win, Delhi boy Prince Yadav stole the spotlight for his spell of 3/33 in his 4 overs.

Moreover, Prince picking up the wicket of veteran RCB batter Virat Kohli became the talk of the town, knowing that the 37-year-old shared an invaluable piece of advice for the young bowler after LSG’s defeat against RCB on April 15 in IPL 2026.

Sharing his experience after his match-winning spell, Yadav revealed Kohli’s advice stating, “After the last match I was talking to Virat bhaiya and he only told me – as long as it’s moving around off a length, stick to that length.”

Prince Yadav shares light-hearted moment with Virat Kohli

Notably, after LSG completed their revenge of previous 5-wicket defeat in IPL 2026, the Delhi boys – Virat Kohli and Prince Yadav shared a light-hearted moment on the sidelines.

Uprooting the stumps to bundle out Virat Kohli on duck for the first time since 2023, the duo were seen having a light chat in presence of former Indian coach and current bowling coach of LSG, Bharat Arun. While the conversation is not known, Kohli seemed to laud the 24-year-old for his bowling in the game.

Speaking of LSG in IPL 2026, the Rishabh Pant & Co. finally received a sigh of relief following the win against RCB. Although the team continues to reel at the bottommost spot in IPL 2026 with only 6 points under their belt, they would look to move upwards with only 4 league games left for them in this season. The Lucknow-based franchise will next take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 10 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
