Ishan Kishan’s red-hot form continues as he became slammed a 33-ball century in Jharkhand’s Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26 opener against Karnataka on Wednesday. The keeper-batter, who was out of the favour of the selectors for over a year in the T20I and ODI formats, was recently included in India’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad over Jitesh Sharma. Kishan’s scintillating form continues after he le Jharkhand to their maiden Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy earlier this month.

Kishan’s 33-ball hundred is the fastest in Elite Group history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He finished with 125 runs off just 39 deliveries and struck 7 fours and 14 sixes in the game against Karnataka at a strike rate of 320.51. With his knock on Wednesday, Kishan has justified his selection for the T20 World Cup 2026 with yet another whirlwind knock. He took the Karnataka bowlers to the cleaners, scoring 40 runs off 11 deliveries from Vijaykumar Vyshak and 24 runs off 6 balls from Abhilash Shetty.
Meanwhile, Bihar captain S Gani scored the fastest List A hundred by an Indian, taking just 32 deliveries to breach the triple-figure mark. With his century, Ishan has overtaken Vaibhav Suryavanshi to become the second fastest Indian to score a list A century. The Bihar sensation scored a 36-ball century in the game against Arunachal Pradesh in the team’s VHT 2025/26 opener on Wednesday.
