IND vs. ENG T20: On the eve of the India-England T20 series opener at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, Team India revealed their new jersey with a vibrant photoshoot led by captain Suryakumar Yadav on Tuesday.
Amidst the joyful atmosphere, all eyes were on Mohammed Shami, the veteran pacer making a much-anticipated return to the national setup after over a year. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared glimpses of the energetic photoshoot, showcasing the players in high spirits as they donned the revamped blue jersey. Mohd. Shami, a seasoned campaigner, stood out in the session, embodying resilience and determination after a challenging period sidelined by injuries.

Shami’s comeback story is one of grit and perseverance. He was last seen in action for India during the 2023 World Cup final against Australia, a match that ended in heartbreak for the team. The five-match T20 series against England, starting on January 22, provides an opportunity for India to regain confidence after recent Test setbacks. Following the opener in Kolkata, the series moves to Chennai (January 25), Rajkot (January 28), Pune (January 31), and concludes in Mumbai (February 2).
The ODI leg follows, starting in Nagpur on February 6, with matches in Cuttack (February 9) and Ahmedabad (February 12). The series offers a crucial platform for both teams to fine-tune combinations ahead of the Champions Trophy while providing an exciting spectacle for cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
