RCB 5 Out 5 in Away Matches
Virat Kohli & Devdutt Padikkal Bat PBKS Out
RCB were clinical with the ball and then with the bat. Phil Salt was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh in the first over before Padikkal and Virat Kohli added 103 for the 2nd wicket to put the side on the path to victory.
RCB might have had second thoughts after opting to bowl first. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh were excellent again at the top. They got PBKS off to a quick start like they have done so often this season.
It was a tricky pitch to bat on, and it looked like the PBKS openers were setting them up for a really big score. The script changed when Krunal Pandya struck twice in his first two overs to snare the wickets of Arya and Prabhsimran to bring RCB back into the game.
Krunal Pandya & Suyash Sharma Brilliant
Krunal was like a live wire on the field. After his sensational opening burst, he took a stunning catch off the bowling of Romario Shepherd to send back Shreyas Iyer.
The innings got more complex for PBKS thereon as Krunal and Suyash Sharma spun a web around the hosts with some top lines and variation and change of pace. Shashank Singh top-scored with 31 while Josh Inglis, who was involved in a mix-up with Nehal Wadhera resulting in his run-out, chipped in with 29 off 17.
Marco Jansen smashed a quick unbeaten 25 to help PBKS reach a competitive 157 for 6.
