Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma headline ICC team of Women’s World Cup 2025 tournament

Three members from the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 winning India women’s cricket team have been named in the team of the tournament. Harmanpreet Kaur and co. created history on Sunday by lifting their maiden ODI WC trophy after defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final. Three Indians, three South Africans, three Australians, one Pakistani, and two England players have been named in the team of the tournament.

Smriti finished as the leading run-getter for India and the second overall in the Women’s World Cup 2025, with 434 runs at an average of 54.25, scoring one century and two half-centuries. Rodrigues, who was India’s saviour in the semi-final against Australia with her spirited 127-run knock, has been named number 3 in the team of the tournament.
Deepti’s all-round brilliance makes her an automatic inclusion in the team of the tournament. She finished as the leading wicket taker in the World Cup, bagging 22 scalps. With the bat, she scored 215 runs, including one century and three fifties.
South Africa skipper Wolvaardt, the leading run-getter in the Women’s World Cup 2025, has been named the captain of the team of the tournament. Her teammates Kapp, de Klerk also found places in the side for their all-round brilliance.
The Australian trio of Sutherland, King and Gardner made it to the XI while England’s Sophie Ecclestone has been named the 11th player. Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt has been included as the 12th player. The only Pakistan player on the list is Sidra, and she has been named the wicketkeeper.
