Virat Kohli breaks David Warner’s all-time record, scores 4th fifty of IPL 2025 against PBKS

by · Inside Sport India

Kohli is the only RCB batter who has scored over 300 runs in the IPL 2025 season.

Another day, another fifty for Virat Kohli. The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain may have retired from T20Is but is still a force to be reckoned with in the shortest format. Kohli started the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season with an unbeaten half-century, and he continues the trend.

Chase Master Virat Kohli at it again

Against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mullanpur, Kohli scored his third fifty while chasing in the IPL 2025 season and fourth overall. Having scored his 100th fifty in T20 cricket against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 13, against PBKS he broke another record.

Kohli has now become the batter with the most fifty-plus scores in the IPL. He had tied with David Warner after scoring an unbeaten 62 against RR. And this half-century against PBKS means that he now stands atop the list. Breaking records has become second nature for Kohli, and it seems he’ll continue to do so until he retires.
