Democracy Day: Tinubu honours more Nigerians who fought against military rule

President Bola Tinubu has confered national honours on more Nigerians who fought against military rule.

The Nigerian leader, in a televised broadcast on Friday to mark this year’s Democracy Day, listed some of the Nigerians to be honoured.

Those to be honoured include prominent journalists including Sam Omatseye, Lade Bonuola, Ike Okonta and Muyiwa Adekeye. Retired military officers honoured include, Ishola Williama and MA Garba, both retired major generals.

“The honours list will be released in the next few days,” Mr Tinubu said.

The Nigerian leader had during last year’s Democracy Day also homoured some Nigerians.
