The iconic comedy, 17 Again, starring Friends' Matthew Perry and Hollywood A-lister Zac Efron, is now available for streaming on Netflix in the UK. The film, which first premiered in 2009, has been a favourite among movie buffs despite its initial lukewarm reception.

The film, considered one of the most cherished teen movies of the 21st Century, tells the story of Mike O'Donnell (played by Perry), a man on the brink of divorce who gets a chance to relive his teenage years when he transforms into his 17-year-old self (Efron).

Following the sad demise of Perry last year, fans of the classic sitcom Friends have been revisiting episodes to pay tribute.

However, they shouldn't miss his memorable venture into big-screen comedy with 17 Again now available for home viewing.

A glowing review on the movie social media platform Letterboxd reads: "If you were to ask me about the 2009 comedy 17 Again starring Zac Efron, I'd probably say I like it.

"But if you were to ask me on a deeper level, I'd say it's a masterpiece and never fails to bring a smile to my face", reports the Mirror.

"I'd say Zac Efron's acting has always been underrated and every choice he made while filming this is top tier and I fear his comedic timing is absolutely immaculate.

"I'd say it should have been a bigger career defining moment for him and I am flabbergasted some people did not recognize his game until last year."

"Starting the year off right.... ugh they just don't make it like this anymore," commented one enthusiast.

Another chimed in, sharing: "People probably think I'm being ironic when I say I love this movie but it's a goddamn masterpiece."

A delighted fan left a five-star Google review, stating: "A cinematic masterpiece this was such a great movie, the plot was great. There was romance, Action, and Greatness.
