Tulisa Contostavlos’ best friend has said that the singer and Alan Halsall could get together.

The singer and Corrie star have hit it off in the I'm a Celebrity jungle and were both camp leaders.

And her pal Michelle McKenna says she thinks they could even end up an item.

It comes after Tulisa said she has been celibate for three years.

Michelle said: “I would love her to meet someone…. I love Alan but I think they are little besties in there. They would actually make a dead cute couple. We will have to wait and see. And he is a northerner. You never know.”

Asked if Tulisa might like Melvin, Michelle added: “I think Melvin is lovely but I don’t think he is for T. I don’t know if he is her type. Barry’s son, apparently he is cute. I am going to play matchmaker.”

Tulisa spoke at length about her love life on the show.

She said last week: “No I’ve only done Raya. I’m not really a dater, even though I’ve been on there, I’ve never gone on an actual date with anyone on there… I’m proper guarded.”

She added that she felt “demi-sexual", adding: “I need to have a really close emotional bond with someone…I need actual depth. I’m a slow, slow burner, I’ve been celibate for over three years.”

After Dean quizzed her on what it’s like being celibate, she added: “I’m not an overly sexualised person. For me, it’s all about the connection and the emotions that I feel with someone and then wanting to express them in that way.”

Explaining the thought of sleeping with someone or going out and meeting someone “genuinely makes me feel physically sick” she joked “This is my temple, you cannot enter!”

Earlier this week Lorraine Kelly talked with Alan's co-star from Coronation Street, Andy Whyment, about the whispers of amorous potential.

Andy mused on the couple's chemistry: "Well they seem to be getting on really well, don't they? We know they've been sharing the hideout at the top so I'm sure they've been having a few conversations there and obviously, they won the first trial together on the very first show."

In an upbeat tone, Andy continued: "Listen, good luck to him. He's obviously a single lad and I think Tulisa is single so we shall see what happens. Watch this space."
