As the dust settles following Mike Tyson’s Texas showdown with Jake Paul, two of today’s boxing stars take centre stage with a show in Saudi Arabia.

The latest Riyadh Season card sees a huge world cruiserweight unification bout between Chris Billam-Smith, the WBO champion, and Gilberto Ramirez, who holds the WBA strap. It is likely to be the toughest fight of the British star’s career as he looks to build on his victory over long-time Richard Riakporhe in June.

Ramirez was the first Mexican to become a super-middleweight and cruiserweight world champion and is looking to take over the 200lb division. His only career defeat to date came against light-heavyweight icon Dmitry Bivol.

"It's an exciting unification fight against someone who has only been beaten by Bivol," said Billam-Smith, 34. "It's a very hard test and it would be an honour for me to become unified champion."

Ramirez said: "I'm excited to make this fight happen with Chris Billam-Smith. It's been a long time coming, and I'm looking forward to becoming the unified champion in this division.

"I've always said this was my division and I'm happy for the opportunity to showcase my skills at this level on a global stage in Riyadh. It's truly an honour to be a Mexican warrior and to showcase what true Mexican boxing is all about while bringing my culture to a global audience."

How to watch Chris Billam-Smith vs Gilberto Ramirez in the UK

If you’re not a regular Sky TV customer, the channel is available via the Sky-owned streaming NOW service if you take out the necessary sports subscription, with day and monthly passes available. The show will also be streamed live by DAZN, again as part of a regular subscription.
