Jeremy Clarkson's daughter Emily has given birth to a baby girl.

The 30-year-old shared the news of her daughter's birth with a couple of sweet photos of herself cradling her newborn in hospital. It is her second child with husband Alex Andrew.

Writing on social media, she shared the heartwarming news, and said: "She’s here. Xanthe Fiadh Andrew arrived a few days ago and just brought the sunshine with her. We are all so happy xxxx."

Her celebrity friends rushed to the comments to congratulate her, with Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly sending her love, while another wrote: "You made it!! The biggest congratulations to you all, couldn’t be happier for you. Gorgeous name too." The name Xanthe is a name with origins in Greek mythology and was the name of a female warrior. Its meaning stems from "fair-haired" and comes from the Greek word xanthos, maning "golden".

Meanwhile, as reported in the Irish Mirror, the origin of the name Fiadh is Irish, with its meaning stemming from "deer", "wilderness" and "respect".

Emily wrote alongside the post: "Our baby girl is going to be a big sister, so so so so excited to share that we’re expecting another little girl so much harder to hide this time around, made harder by HG which has been a huge and hard part of this pregnancy so far."

She added: "I want to talk a lot more about that, and I will, but for now, here’s our wonderful news, we’re over the moon."

Emily is Jeremy's eldest child, who he shares with ex-wife Frances Cain along with son Finlo, 26, and Katya, 23. The TV star and Frances split in 2014 after 21 years of marriage. Jeremy Clarkson has not yet commented on the latest addition to the family, but last year shared a photo of himself cradling Arlo after becoming a grandfather for the first time.

The caption read: "The happiest a man can be."

It came soon after Emily distanced herself from comments her dad made in a column in The Sun about Meghan Markle. The podcast host and author said at the time that she is “against everything that my dad wrote”.

In a statement shared on her Instagram story, Emily said: “My views are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying and the treatment of women by the media. I want to make it very clear that I stand against everything that my dad wrote about Meghan Markle and I remain standing in support of those that are targeted with online hatred."

He provoked fury in 2023 by saying in a Sun column that he wanted Meghan to be “paraded naked through the streets” and “dreams of people throwing excrement at her”. He added he hated the ex-Suits actress “on a cellular level”.

Jeremy said after the initial outcry: “We’ve all been there. We realise we’ve messed up. Your head pounds. And you feel sick. Had I really said that? It was horrible.” The columnist later revealed he had said sorry to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, and admitted that TV bosses were furious with him.
