I'm A Celebrity fans immediately picked up on a significant modification to the 2024 series format.
Just as the new campmates, including stars like Danny Jones, Coleen Rooney, and Tulisa, made their entrance, fans were quick to spot a change. This season's participants embarked on an arduous quest into camp that involved a skydive, boat journey, car ride, or trek. Upon arriving, they donned the show's trademark gear.
Traditionally, celebs slip into blue T-shirts, red trousers, and beige shirts with both their name and a number emblazoned on the back, with this number allowing supporters to vote to keep them in the game or nominate them for Bushtucker Trials.
However, this year the familiar numbers are absent from the outfits. Contestants only have their names printed on their shirts, leading one observant viewer to comment: "Oh they've gotten rid of the numbers on the clothes #ImACeleb."
Another added: "Hate that they have their full name on the back of their shirts and no number to call it looks stupid #imaceleb," as a third wrote: "So 2024 is the year they've finally got rid of phone voting... who's gonna shout call the SHORT NUMBER now."
A fourth chimed in with: "Watching #ImACeleb and I've noticed they've ditched the phone voting (all via the app), like they did for DOI and BGT earlier this year. 'If you're calling from a mobile, call the SHORT NUMBER' is no more, I guess.."
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is back on our screens bringing a fresh batch of stars to face the jungle's harsh trials. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are once again guiding viewers through all the antics live from the Australian wilderness.
Contestants will have their mettle tested by everything from intense Bushtucker Trials to brain-teasers courtesy of Kiosk Kev, all in the hope of succeeding last year's champion Sam Thompson as jungle royalty.
*I'm A Celebrity airs every day at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
