GB News issued a breaking news alert as Prince Edward addressed the allegations involving his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Andrew has denied any wrongdoing after being named multiple times in the Epstein files, with his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein appearing in numerous photos and emails.

Speaking at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Prince Edward told CNN: "Well, with the best will in the world. I’m not sure this is the audience that is probably the least bit interested in that. They all came here to listen to education, solving the future. But no, I think it’s all really important always to remember the victims, and who are the victims in all this, a lot of victims in all this."

GB News released a breaking news bulletin to relay the statement from the Duke of Edinburgh, with Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker commenting: "Prince Edward's on an official visit to Dubai. This perhaps highlights how members of the working Royal Family are continuing to be overshadowed by something such as this, with Andrew Mountbatten-Winter and his association with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

"Of course, Andrew has always denied the allegations against him. But the other thing that I thought was quite crucial is that Edward spoke about the victims of Epstein here.

"Something that Andrew failed to do during that Newsnight interview in 2019, which ultimately led to his downfall."

He continued: "Nonetheless, very embarrassing. At the same time, of course, it's been revealed in these charge of emails that Sarah Ferguson, Andrew's ex-wife, went to take his two daughters to meet Epstein five days after he was released from prison on child sex offence charges."

Additionally presenter Nana Akua joined in, stating: "Very odd, very odd. I noticed Edward's sort of hand gesture when he said the victims. And to me it looked like a sort of rehearsed answer because I thought they'd all been briefed to say the victims."

Cameron agreed: "I would be very surprised if they had not had some kind of advice which suggests that if you are ambushed, for want of a better phrase, by a journalist or somebody about the Epstein allegations, and you are being filmed, perhaps this is the way to answer it. But also, I think it shows something about Prince Edward's character in contrast to his brother, Andrew.

"Edward clearly shows sympathy and empathy with the victims, and Andrew has still failed to do so in any statement that he has released since these allegations first came to light, dating way back to 2011.

"So I think that perhaps shows that the working royal to remain, Edward, William, Catherine, King, Queen, whoever, are very much perhaps on the same wavelength, but nonetheless very difficult time for them in terms of that overshadowing that's happening."

To which Akua replied: "But that Andrew would argue that of course he's not guilty of anything, so that's why he's done nothing wrong, which is probably why he doesn't feel that he needs to mention anything about victims."

The segment ended as Cameron stated: "And yet it has been part of his downfall, the fact that he didn't show any sympathy with his victims now, but of course, that is one of the arguments in favour of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and clearly he has not been found guilty of anything whatsoever, and he denies all the allegations against him."
