Ghanaian Authorities Recommend Immediate Exit for Nationals in Lebanon

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday issued an urgent call for all Ghanaian nationals in Lebanon to leave the country as soon as possible, citing growing concerns over the region’s deteriorating security situation.

The Foreign Ministry in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency said the rapidly unfolding crisis in Lebanon and its potential danger to Ghanaians living in that country, was a matter of great concern to the Government of Ghana.

“Considering the deteriorating situation, the Government of Ghana encourages all Ghanaian nationals in Lebanon to take advantage of the limited available flights in Lebanon to immediately leave the country,” it said.

“Towards this end, the Government wishes to encourage Ghanaians living there who may not have travel documents to contact the Embassy of Ghana in Cairo, Egypt or the Ghana Honorary Consulate in Beirut, Lebanon to obtain Emergency Travel Certificates”.
