Blumhouse Remake ‘Speak No Evil’ Comes Home to Digital This Week

A remake of the Danish horror movie, Blumhouse and Universal’s Speak No Evil has proven to be a hit at the box office, the film scaring up $57 million across the last few weeks.

This week, Speak No Evil heads home. Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, the Blumhouse remake will be available exclusively on digital platforms to own or rent tomorrow, October 1, 2024, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

The Digital release will include never-before-seen extras featuring the filmmakers and cast discussing the making of the film, only when you purchase from participating retailers nationwide including Apple TV, Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu), Comcast Xfinity, Cox Microsoft Movies & TV, and Movies Anywhere.

The “painfully tense, disarmingly funny and masterfully cringe-inducing” (Screen Rant) film will subsequently be available on Blu-ray™ and DVD on November 19, 2024.

James Watkins (The Woman in Black, Eden Lake) directed Speak No Evil for Blumhouse and Universal, with Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate, Happiest Season) and James McAvoy (Split, Glass) starring. Scoot McNairy (Argo) also stars.

In the remake, “After befriending a British couple with a mute son, Americans Ben and Louise accept an unusual invitation to bring their daughter for a weekend at an idyllic country estate. Yet when they discover their hosts are hiding sinister motives, Ben and Louise fear their family may be pawns in a disturbing plot.”

James Watkins also wrote the script for the Speak No Evil remake.
