‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Now in Production With Winona Ryder & Eva Green Joining the Cast
by John Squires · Bloody DisgustingNetflix’s hit series “Wednesday” starring Jenna Ortega will return for Season 3 likely in 2027, and Netflix has revealed the new season’s main cast this morning with an announce video.
All your favorite characters will return in “Wednesday” Season 3, with Netflix announcing that Winona Ryder, Eva Green, and Chris Sarandon (Fright Night) will be joining them.
This will mark Winona Ryder’s return to Netflix in the wake of “Stranger Things” coming to an end, as well as a reunion with director Tim Burton. Eva Green and Chris Sarandon have of course previously worked with Tim Burton as well, with Green starring in Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine, and Sarandon voicing Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Winona Ryder will be playing a character named Tabitha, while Eva Green is Aunt Ophelia.
Burton will return to direct “Wednesday” Season 3, with the season’s cast of returning faces and new players including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Billie Piper, Fred Armisen, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Oscar Morgan, Noah Taylor, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Kennedy Moyer, Evie Templeton, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suotamo, Liv Spencer and more.
Creator/showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar returned for the spine-tingling second season of “Wednesday,” alongside executive producer and director Tim Burton.
In the second season of the series, “Nevermore is back in session as Wednesday tangles with a new principal, a devious campus stalker, and a waning grip on her psychic powers.”
The first two seasons of “Wednesday” are available to stream now on Netflix.
