EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey, June 27 : England scored twice in the second half to beat Panama 2-0 and win their World Cup Group L on Saturday, with Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane both on the scoresheet.

Bellingham poked the ball in from a corner midway through the second half, allowing England fans to breathe a sigh of relief after a listless start that had them fearing a repeat of their previous goalless draw against Ghana.

He assisted the second goal five minutes later, crossing for captain Kane, who headed it in to become England's all-time record scorer at World Cups on 11, ahead of former striker Gary Lineker (10).

England will play a third-placed team in the Round of 32.
