Two more terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district during an encounter with the security forces during the ongoing 'Operation Chhatru'. A large quantity of "war-like stores," including one AK and one M4 rifle were also recovered, the Army's White Knight Corps said on Saturday in a post on X.
"In the ongoing operations at #Chhatru, Kishtwar, despite bad and inclement weather, two more Pakistani terrorists have been eliminated," the post read.
A joint search and destroy operation was launched by the Indian Army along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police on April 9 in the Chhatru forest in Kishtwar based on specific intelligence.
One terrorist was killed Friday in an encounter with security forces in Kishtwar. During the operation, the forces managed to establish contact with the terrorists, who were effectively engaged, leading to a firefight.

Ops Underway To Track 3 Terrorists In Udhampur
In a seperate development, an operation to track down a group of three terrorists is underway in Udhampur district.
The security agencies have expanded the scope of surveillance to Doda district's Bhaderwah area to track the terrorists who were believed to have been moving between different locations in the hilly districts of the Jammu region.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Kishtwar-Doda-Ramban Range, Shridhar Patil said the operations in the region have been going on for the past three days.
A brief exchange of fire with terrorists occurred in Chhatru's Naidgam area on Wednesday, following which a massive combing operation was launched. The slain terrorist was reportedly part of the Saifullah module of Pakistan. However, an official confirmation is awaited, PTI reported.
The Saifullah module ambushed an Army team in Doda on July 15, 2024, resulting in the death of an officer and a rifleman.
