According to the Associated Press (AP), at least one person was killed in the attack, and several others were injured. This came when a Ukrainian delegation was preparing to meet with America’s top diplomat in Saudi Arabia and discuss efforts to end the three-year-long war with Russia.
According to a statement by Russia’s Defense Ministry, the highest number of drones, 126, were shot down over the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine and includes areas controlled by Kyiv's forces. Additionally, 91 drones were intercepted over the Moscow region. Other affected regions mentioned in the statement include Belgorod, Bryansk, and Voronezh near the Ukraine border, as well as Kaluga, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, and Ryazan deeper inside Russia.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said over 70 drones targeted the Russian capital and were shot down as they were flying toward it, the report added.

The Moscow region governor, Andrei Vorobyov, said a person was killed and nine were injured in the attack. Adding to that, seven apartments were damaged in the area.
