Fire Breaks Out At Kamla Raja Hospital In MP's Gwalior, No Casualties Reported

A fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit at the maternity ward of Kamla Raja hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, police said, news agency ANI reported.
Following the incident, about 150 patients from the hospital were shifted to the Super Specialty hospital.
As per the information, two fire tenders were rushed to the site and fire was brought under control. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Atibal Singh Yadav, Fire Officer, Municipal Corporation, Gwalior said that the fire broke out due to AC blast and there was no loss of life.
He said, as quoted by ANI ,"I got information that a fire broke out in the labour room, I gave information to 6 fire stations, the nearby fire tenders reached the spot immediately and controlled the fire...this fire broke out due to AC blast...workers, doctors and nurses were present here during the incident and they broke the windows and evacuated the patients from there, otherwise this could have been big incident...there is no loss of lives...."

Vinod Singh, SDM, Gwalior, said, " A fire broke out on the air-conditioned Gyno unit, there were around 22 people there...people were evacuated first...the smoke spread very fast...all the patients were quickly evacuated, and they are being shifted...there are no injuries and loss of lives"
