'Over 100 Terrorists Killed, 9 Terror Camps Hit With Precision Strikes': Rajnath Singh On Operation Sindoor

 In a powerful statement during the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh underscored the precision and impact of the recent military offensive. He confirmed that India’s Armed Forces successfully targeted and destroyed nine key terrorist infrastructure sites, delivering a significant blow to militant networks operating across the border.

“These were well-coordinated strikes,” Singh told the House, “and they were executed with surgical precision.” According to estimates shared by the Defence Minister, the operation resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists, including their trainers, handlers, and close associates. Many of those killed were affiliated with notorious terror outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen—groups long responsible for orchestrating deadly attacks against Indian forces and civilians.

Singh also dismissed any speculation that the operation was halted due to external pressure. “Let me make it absolutely clear—India stopped the attacks only after achieving the pre-determined objectives of the mission,” he asserted firmly. “To suggest otherwise is completely baseless.”

Learning From Shri Krishna

During a debate in the Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh underscored India’s evolving approach to national security and counter-terrorism. Reflecting on the country's firm stance, he said, "We have learnt from Lord Krishna that in the end, one needs to pick the Sudarshan Chakra to protect 'dharma'. We saw the 2006 Parliament attack, 2008 Mumbai attacks – and now we have said enough is enough, and picked the Sudarshan Chakra..."

Highlighting a shift in strategic thinking, he added, "Today's India thinks differently and works differently. We believe that when your adversary has made terrorism a strategy and does not understand the language of dialogue, then standing firm and being decisive is the only option."

Discussing Operation Sindoor and past military actions, the Defence Minister emphasized that India has tried to pursue peace, but has also responded decisively when provoked. He stated, "... Our government has also made numerous efforts to establish peace with Pakistan. But later, through the 2016 surgical strike, the 2019 Balakot air strike, and the 2025 Operation Sindoor, we have adopted a different path to establish peace... The stand of the Narendra Modi government is clear – talks and terror cannot go together..."

"War should be taken up against those who are on the same level as us... Goswami Tulsidas says that love and enmity should be on the same level... If a lion kills a frog, it does not give a very good message. Our armed forces are lions..," Said Rajnath Singh
