Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film 'Kesari Chapter 2' has finally been released. Another one of those patriotic films with a twist, Akshay returns to bring another lesser-known historical story to the silver screen with 'Kesari 2'. Early reviews of the film suggest that 'Kesari 2 'has been receiving considerable appreciation from audiences. Trade analysts also expect the film to perform well at the box office, given the extended weekend holiday and potentially strong word-of-mouth if all goes well.

Amid this positive buzz, there have also been reports about Akshay Kumar receiving a grand sum for his role in the film.

Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 fee

As per a Siasat Daily report, Akshay Kumar charges between ₹60 crore to ₹145 crore per film. And if the report is to be believed, Kumar has charged a similar hefty fee for his latest release, Kesari 2. However, in several recent interviews and interactions, Akshay has clarified that he does not charge producers directly for his films. Instead, he opts for a profit-sharing model if the film performs well.

Last year, during the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Akshay spoke about how rising actor salaries affect film budgets. At the time, he said, “If we sign a film today, we don’t charge anything; we just take a stake. If it works, we get a share in the profit, but if it doesn’t, we don’t get any money.” Akshay further added that he prefers this model to be fair to the producers as well.

Given his known stance on actor fees, it’s likely that Akshay Kumar opted for profit-sharing for Kesari 2 too. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding his exact remuneration for the film.
