Derrick Lewis piled on to his UFC knockout record (now 16) last night (Sat., July 12, 2025) at UFC Nashville LIVE on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., stunning rising heavyweight prospect Tallison Teixeira with a blistering TKO (punches) just 35 seconds into the first round..
Teixeira, who was somehow a sizeable betting favorite in his first UFC main event, was making just his second trip to the Octagon. The towering Brazilian is talented at just 25 years of age, but many thought “Black Beast” would be too much for the young prospect to handle. Those people were right.
Teixeira landed a nice jab in the early going while the knuckle of his thumb grazed the eye of Lewis. It left “Black Beast” immediately compromised. Teixeira moved in to initiate some action only to be met with a flurry of punches from Lewis. “Black Beast” would connect on a nasty left hook moments later that sent Teixeira crashing to the canvas.
Lewis, who seconds before was recovering from a blow to his eye, quickly jumped on top for heavy ground-and-pound. Teixeira would make his way back to his feet (with some assistance from the top of the cage), but all the while Lewis was landing more shots. The referee eventually saw enough and called a stop to the action.

After his victory, Lewis delivered his patented post-fight celebration by taking his shorts off, but this time he ended up mooning the crowd. Following that, Lewis was called by President Donald Trump who wanted to congratulate him on his main event win. Check out those moments below:
