Vivo has officially expanded its Y-series smartphone lineup in China with the launch of the Vivo Y600i, a rugged device designed for extreme battery endurance. Joining the ranks of the Y600 Turbo and Y600 Pro—which boast 9,020mAh and 10,200mAh cells, respectively—the new Y600i continues the high-capacity trend with a massive 8,000mAh battery, a fluid 120Hz display, and a highly reinforced chassis.

Designed for Endurance and Safety

The standout feature of the Y600i is its 8,000mAh battery, which supports 44W wired fast charging as well as wired reverse charging. According to Vivo’s laboratory testing, the battery is engineered for longevity, retaining at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,500 charge cycles. On a single charge, the device can comfortably deliver up to 25 hours of short-video playback or 16 hours of continuous GPS navigation.

Durability is another primary focus. The Y600i carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings for top-tier water and dust resistance, alongside an SGS five-star drop-resistance certification. To enhance user security, the device leverages AI-powered anti-fraud technology to detect and flag scam calls, positioning the phone as a secure, everyday workhorse.

Display and Performance

The front of the device features a 6.87-inch LCD panel with a 1592 x 720 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. To ensure outdoor visibility and eye comfort, the screen achieves up to 1,300 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM), supports DC dimming, and holds a TÜV Rheinland certification for software-level low blue-light emission.

Under the hood, the Y600i is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, mated to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Vivo’s memory-fusion technology allows users to allocate up to 12GB of virtual RAM, while physical storage can be expanded by an additional 2TB via a microSD card.
