HMD Unveils Nokia 2360 Flip: A Safety-Focused Feature Phone for Seniors

by · Nokiamob

HMD has launched the Nokia 2360 Flip, a new clamshell feature phone engineered specifically for demographic groups requiring simplified communication, namely senior citizens and school students.

The device is built around safety and remote management. Its flagship “Family Assist” feature enables designated relatives to control the phone from afar, allowing them to remotely add contacts, adjust volume levels, and set daily reminders without needing physical access to the handset. On the hardware side, a dedicated SOS button on the rear panel provides immediate emergency routing. When pressed, the phone automatically dials a primary emergency contact while dispatching an alert message to up to five pre-programmed numbers.

Hardware specifications remain strictly entry-level, adhering to the traditional feature phone formula. The handset is equipped with a 2.8-inch primary internal display paired with a 1.77-inch external screen for quick notification checks. It draws power from a removable 1,450mAh battery and includes a basic QVGA camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an FM radio, a loudspeaker, and 4MB of internal storage.

Crucially for potential buyers, the Nokia 2360 Flip is restricted to 2G cellular connectivity. This hardware limitation effectively renders the device unusable in regions and markets where telecom operators have already decommissioned their legacy 2G networks.

HMD will offer the Nokia 2360 Flip in three colorways: Burgundy Red, Charcoal, and Teal. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed official pricing or market availability dates.
