Google Keep Web App Adds Long-Awaited Text Formatting Tools
by Kreso · NokiamobGoogle Keep has finally brought text formatting features to its web version—nearly two years after these options were introduced in the Android app. The update is now being rolled out to Google Workspace users, Workspace Individual accounts, and personal Google accounts, and it enables users to customize text appearance with new styling tools. However, the update may take several weeks to reach all users.
The formatting tools can be accessed via the underlined “A” icon located in the lower left corner of the revamped text editor in Google Keep. Clicking this icon opens a new toolbar with options to bold, italicize, underline, remove formatting, and apply H1 or H2 headers.
These enhancements should make it easier for users to organize and structure their notes more effectively in the web app, allowing for quicker navigation and improved clarity. Ideally, these formatting changes will now sync between web and Android versions, reducing the need for repetitive edits across devices.
