Delhi Police Summon Al Falah University Chairman in Terror Module and Forgery Probe
by Northlines · NorthlinesNew Delhi, Nov 17: Delhi Police have issued two summons to Al Falah University chairman Javed Ahmad Siddiqui in connection with the Faridabad terror module investigation and two separate FIRs filed against the university for cheating and forgery, officials said on Monday.
Police said Siddiqui’s statement is essential to clarify multiple inconsistencies related to the university’s functioning and the activities of individuals linked to the institution. The Crime Branch recently registered two FIRs after the UGC and NAAC flagged “major irregularities” in the university’s accreditation claims and submitted their findings to law enforcement.
According to officials, the cases relate to alleged use of false accreditation documents and misleading claims made by the Haryana-based university. Investigators are now scrutinising institutional records, financial trails and administrative permissions.
Police sources added that the summons are part of a broader line of inquiry that overlaps with the Red Fort blast investigation, as several suspects in the case reportedly had links with the university.
Further investigation is in progress. (Agencies)
